Do you want a remote management system for your Android phone? AirDroid, the desktop version, does not work as a complete substitute when it comes to the web interface, but the advantage of the desktop version is how it still has some of the more powerful features like remote control in real time. What does that mean? Well, how many times have you had to pick up your phone after working or browsing online? As a result, you probably had to write on the phone screen and have a complete keyboard in front of you.

All of that stops with the AirDroid Desktop because it integrates the computer with other devices, and it hosts your phone's most essential information. Because of this, you will not have to alternate between devices unless you have a real need. The AirDroid Desktop includes remote vision and control of the phone's screen in real time. You have an acceptable quality when it comes to the lag, and you can use the mouse to look at the Android remotely and browse the various options.

The software designers improved the desktop notifications feature tenfold with their latest design. Instead of having to look every time your phone receives a notification, you will see a small floating window that gives you the chance to reply if needed. This minimizes distraction and keeps you on track. AirDroid even takes it one step further and lets you answer direct calls with a microphone and headphone. Unless you choose the web version, however, AirDroid will not have the total interface that you have otherwise. You have total integration with the system, and this will integrate in with the system of floating windows. You do have some small sections like the management of photographs, and you will find both systems take advantage of the newer design.

AirDroid merges the various devices to boost your productivity, and while the software is not perfect, it has been built well enough to show how Android should have been built from the beginning. You have easier integration with the other systems, and AirDroid lets you access your tablet and phone whether it is Windows or Mac, and the software allows you to do this for free. You can transfer files between the devices, and you can also send files to friends.

You might also like AirDroid because of how you have a connected device that lets you control your Android from the computer. You can use all the apps on the computer like WeChat, WhatsApp and Line. Keep in mind, however, you may need root for it to work with some devices. What's more, a lot of big names like PCWorld, XDA, CNET, Lifehacker and Gizmodo have all recommended the technology.

Pros

  • You can direct reply to SMS
  • Remote vision over the screen
  • Recommended by big names Like CNET and PCWorld
  • Boosts productivity

Cons

  • Web interface not complete with the desktop version
